(VOV) -Hanoi is set to host the 2012 Tourism Awards on December 4 to honour select hotels and travel agencies for their excellent performance in the past year.
Awards winners will be recognized for providing good services and welcoming large numbers of tourists.
The award aims to encourage tourism service providers to increase the efficiency of their operations and raise the competitiveness in the current integration process.
Last year, Vietnam’s tourism sector made a significant contribution to national economic development, receiving 6.8 million international visitors and 32 million local tourists, earning VND160,000 billion in revenue.
