PM Dung welcomes Cuban ambassador

At the reception, PM Dung affirmed Vietnam’s tireless efforts to improve bilateral cooperation in various fields in a more effective and practical manner for the two nations’ common development.


(VOV) – Prime Minister Nguyen Tan Dung on November 28 received Cuban ambassador Herminio Lopez Diaz who paid a courtesy visit upon assuming his new tasks in Vietnam.


Dung said he hopes the Cuban diplomat will work closely with the two countries’ ministries and sectors to properly implement cooperative agreements and programmes on economics, trade and investment.


He asked Cuba to support and provide the best possible conditions for Vietnamese agricultural and telecommunication businesses to run investments smoothly in Cuba.

Both sides need to promote people-to-people exchanges with the aim of deepening mutual understanding and friendship between the two nations, Dung said while suggesting them should increase cooperation in potential areas—education, pharmaceutical production and science and technology.


For his part, ambassador Lopez Diaz pledged his best efforts to foster Vietnam-Cuba friendship and economic, trade and investment cooperation.


He expressed his country’s desire to receive support and share national construction and development experiences with Vietnam.
