Foundation for East Sea Studies (FESS) was officially made its debut in Diplomatic Academy of Vietnam on March 27. At the opening ceremony, the Foundation introduced East Sea Studies Fund 2014 and following years.
As a not-for-profit organization, the Foundation serves as a channel to search and gather competent individuals for East Sea-related studies as well as to popularize and raise awareness of the protection of national sea and island sovereignty.
“The FESS is expected to attract the participation of the society and make connection between patriot donors and intellectuals who are dedicated to the protection of Vietnam’s sovereignty over sea and islands”, Dr. Dang Dinh Quy, Chairman of the FESS Management Council and Director of the Diplomatic Academy of Vietnam said.
At present, the Foundation has mobilized over 5 billion VND and 100 million VND donated by State agencies, organizations, individuals at the opening ceremony. In the coming time, the Foundation seeks and welcomes the contribution of all individuals, organizations, domestic and foreign enterprises operating in Vietnam.
