By the end of May 2014, Hai Phong Port One Member Limited Company reached over 8 million tons, accounting for 41.6% of the set plan for the whole year. Particularly in May 2014, the port handled almost 1.8 million tons of cargoes; exceeding 5.5% of monthly plan with 488,000 tons of handling exports, 903.000 tons of imports and 403,000 tons of domestic cargoes.
Haiphong Port leader said that the commodity structure at this time of the year includes containers, iron and steel, equipment and machinery, cattle feed… with the majority of cargo items recording an increase over the previous month. The Port has actively arranged equipments and workforce to ensure a rapid, simplified and scientific loading and unloading process and avoid congestion, facilitated for boats and vessels to handle cargoes. Alongside, the guard force of the company has ensured the order and security. Currently, Haiphong Port is conducting final steps to equitize the enterprise. As planned, the Shareholders’ Meeting of Haiphong Port JSC., will take place by the end of June 2014 and Haiphong Port JSC., will be officially put into operation in July 2014. |
