PANO – The Ministry of National Defence will make regulations to assist couples and individuals in the army previously unable to conceive, said its Deputy Minister Senior Lieutenant General Nguyen Thanh Cung at a conference on August 15th.
Accordingly, the whole army at present has over 2,000 cases of families with infertility. Over the past time, the ministry has spent nearly 1 billion to support about 90 families.
The Deputy Minister urged the ministry’s Military Medical and Finance Departments to build plans and instruct units in the whole army to continue assisting their troops experiencing infertility.
Besides, delegates in the conference, chaired by General Cung, reviewed the population, family and children work in the army in the first half of this year, as well as mapped out tasks for the second half.
