 The mid-autumn festival in Phu Ly city (Photo by Tran Quang Chien) On September 3rd, the mid-autumn festival for all the children of citizens and soldiers living and working in the DK1 frame house took place in Phu Ly city in the northern province of Ha Nam. The event was held by Phu Ly city in coordination with Ha Nam provincial Military High Command, Ha Nam provincial Department of Labour, Invalids and Social Affairs, Ha Nam provincial Youth Union Opening the festival, the Organizing Board read President Ho Chi Minh’s letter, to children on the occasion of the same festival in 1945. After the reading, 70 children, including the disadvantaged children in the city received scholarships. The activity showed care for children, especially those suffering disadvantage and created favourable conditions for children to study and become useful citizens for the benefit of future society./. |
