The Hanoitimes – An exhibition on Vietnam’s sovereignty over its sea, islands and the two archipelagoes themed “Vietnam’s Hoang Sa and Truong Sa archipelagos: Historical and legal evidence” has been held in Soc Trang from November 4 to November 10.
The exhibition includes 121 maps, royal documents formulated under Nguyen dynasty and documentary pictures asserting legal and historical evidence proving Vietnam’s sovereignty over the two archipelagos.
The maps on display, photographs, records and documents all prove The Hoang Sa (Paracel) and Truong Sa (Spratly) archipelagos are inseparable parts of Vietnam’s territory since the 16th century in accordance with relevant rules and principles of international law.
The exhibition aims to help international friends, understand more about the Vietnamese people’s aspiration for peace and their strong determination to safeguard their motherland.
