(VOV) – The country’s top 47 travel agencies have received a prestigious award from the Vietnam National Administration of Tourism (VNAT) for their contributions to a successful campaign to increase inbound tourism to Vietnam.
In the first 11 months of the year, Vietnam has welcomed over 7.2 million international arrivals as a result of their efforts, up 5.4% against the same period last year, said VNAT General Director at the awards presentation ceremony.
The agencies, from 17 countries around the globe, have been innovative and creative in the execution of the campaign, which has contributed significantly to boosting travel to Vietnam and overcoming obstacles the industry faces, the director added.
At the event, VNAT and tourism industry leaders introduced new tourism products and discussed the trends of key markets, especially newly-emerging markets and suggested appropriate strategies and marketing promotions.
