On December 12th, at the provincial commanding post of frontier guard, the organizing board of the artistic photography contest “Armed forces of Phu Yen after 70 years of constructing, fighting and maturing” started judging the works.

The contest was entered by 432 works of 22 photographers who are either professional or amateur. This is a practical activity to greet the 70th anniversary of the establishing day of Vietnam People’s Army (December 22nd, 1944-December 22nd, 2014) and the 25th anniversary of the establishing day of the entire population national defense (December 22nd, 1989-December 22nd, 2014), which is co-organized by the commanding armed post and the provincial association of arts and literature.
According to the organizing board and the judging board, the works entered for this contest concentrate on featuring the image of Uncle Ho army soldiers in the new phase; portray and reappear the hardship, difficulties in the task of training, constructing armed forces in the new phase; the activity of rendering thanks and helping the compatriots to develop economy, participating social activities of the provincial armed forces. The organizing board will select 16 works to award prizes, including: 1 first prize, 2 second prizes, 3 third prizes and 10 consolidating prizes. These works (currently not yet announced) together with 84 works passing the semi-final round will be on exhibition at Dien Hong cultural house (3 Tan Da street, Tuy Hoa city), from the afternoon of December 20th this year.
