— Vietnam yesterday announced two emergency phone numbers for the protection of Vietnamese citizens abroad. They are 04.62 844 844 for domestic subscribers and 00.84.4.62 844 844 for foreign subscribers. The numbers are operational 24 hours a day.
— Ho Chi Minh City has received 12 modern fire-fighting vehicles imported from France.

— The State Bank of Vietnam announced Monday that it had bought all shares of the Vietnam Bank of Construction at VND0. The central bank has thus become the owner of 100 percent of the charter capital of the construction bank.
— The Nguyen Kim commercial company and Central Group Vietnam announced their strategic cooperation agreement on Monday which is meant to lead Nguyen Kim to become the leading retailer of electronic goods for domestic use in Vietnam and Southeast Asia.
