Extinguishing a large fire by pumping CO2 foam
The Hai Duong Provincial Management Unit of Occupational Safety and Hygiene Programs and Hai Duong Power One Member Co., Ltd. on March 18 morning co-organized a ceremony to launch responses to the 17th National Week on Occupational Safety and Hygiene – Fire and Explosion Prevention and Fighting (OSH – FEPF).
This year’s week is taking place from March 15 – 21 with the theme “Each enterprise and laborer proactively take measures to prevent occupational accidents and diseases, fires, and explosions to protect themselves, enterprises, and society”.
Hai Duong Power One Member Co., Ltd. was chosen as the model by provincial authorities.
Addressing the launching ceremony, Mr. Nguyen Van Que, Vice Chairman of the Provincial People’s Committee, Head of the Provincial Management Unit of OSH Programs, acknowledged Hai Duong power sector’s specific deeds in OSH – FEPF realization.
However, the company has still let serious occupational accidents happen in the past time.
The Vice Chairman of the Provincial People’s Committee required leaders of the company to consider OSH – FEPF as regular and long-term work; strengthen propaganda, guidance, and training of all laborers in OSH – FEPF so that they can protect themselves and other people during production; consolidate OSH – FEPF staff; intensify self-examination to detect shortcomings, promote technical inventions and innovations to improve working conditions towards safety; promptly encourage, commend, and reward individuals and collectives with outstanding achievements in OSH – FEPF; strive for no serious occupational accident, fire, explosion, or environmental pollution to happen; etc.
On this occasion, Hai Duong Power One Member Co., Ltd. held the signing of a commitment to implement an OSH plan between the company and its subsidiary units.
