Production value grossed VND351.64 billion, as much as 6.6 percent higher than the preset plan and 15.3 percent higher than in 2011; revenue reached VND320 billion, equal to 114 percent of the full-year plan and up 27 percent over 2011; profit after tax was VND12.8 billion, equal to 107 percent of the yearly plan; and tax payment to the State Budget totalled VND15.72 billion, equal to 117 percent of the annualised plan and up 30.5 percent against 2011. The average monthly income of an employee was VND5.6 million, up 12.24 percent over 2011. Dividend payout ratio was 25 percent.

The DIC – Hoi An brand name has confirmed a strong foothold in the market and confidently accompanied the province’s industrialisation and modernisation process. With its business achievements, DIC – Hoi An was chosen by the Quang Nam Provincial People’s Committee to be a strategic investment partner in the Vietnam – Korea Chu Lai Service – Urban Complex. The 5,000-ha project has a favourable and easy access to Da Nang – Dung Quat Highway, National Road 1A and coastal roads. This project is designed to be a South Korea-styled city of industry and services. The complex will attract mechanical engineering, manufacturing industries, supporting industries and infrastructure construction projects. Mr Nguyen Phuoc, Deputy General Director of DIC – Hoi An, said the objectives of this complex development is to promote investment cooperation with South Korean partners to tap local potential advantages to develop industry, urbanisation and services. Hence, this is considered a long-term strategic project of DIC – Hoi An.
He said given local advantages, despite continued hardships forecast for domestic and global economies in 2013 with seriously negative impacts on the company’s performances, DIC – Hoi An is still confident to achieve 10 – 20 percent growth in production value, revenue, profit, tax payment, and payroll in the year. Besides, the company will perfect its operating apparatus, rationalise staffing, protect the DIC – Hoi An prestige and brand name, and increase revenue and competitiveness on the market. The company integrates the economic efficiency of production and business activities with their social efficiency to be a greater contributor to the province’s social and economic development.
