In other action, Song Lam Nghe An (SLNA) jumped back into first place with 29 points after a 2-0 home win over Thanh Hoa at Vinh Stadium after Hoang Anh Gia Lai (HAGL). Reigning champs Da Nang drew 2-2 at Pleiku Stadium on July 20. HAGL is second with 28 points while Da Nang is in third with 27 points.
Kien Giang Bank Kien Giang slid one position to bottom after a 1-1 tie with Hanoi T&T, which is now in fourth place with 27 points. Yet Da Nang and Hanoi T&T have played only 15 games.
