The first direct charter flight to Da Nang from South Korea's Busan arrived last Friday, carrying 170 passengers. The central region branch of Korean owned Viet Ly Travel Company is operating this route using planes chartered from Vietnam Airlines.
During their 4-day/3-night stay in the city, the passengers are scheduled to visit some of the popular local tourist attractions, including the beach, the Marble Mountains, and the Museum of Cham Sculpture.
According to the flight operator, the trial period of this direct charter flight is expected to run until September. If successful, the company will increase the number of Busan-Da Nang direct charter flights over the winter because this is when there is a significant increase in the numbers of visitors from South Korea who come to the city to play golf.
