PANO - A delegation from the Departments of Warfare Operation and Politics under the General Staff of the Vietnam People’s Army (VPA) has recently offered incense to volunteer youth at the Memorial for Fallen Volunteer Youth in the Whole Country, and paid homage to 10 female volunteer youth at Dong Loc T-junction in Ha Tinh province.


On the occasion, the delegation presented VND 3 million to war invalid Nguyen Phi Anh in Thach Linh ward, Ha Tinh Province.











Health check-ups given to policy beneficiaries and people rendering good service to the nation

* On July 27th, the Determination to Die Tradition Liaison Committee of the Capital Regiment and Party Committee and People’s Committee of Quan Thanh ward, Hanoi, offered incense to martyrs and heroes at the war memorial “Determined to die for national salvation” at the Van Xuan flower garden in the ward. The liaison committee also handed over 55 gifts to wounded and sick soldiers, former troops of the regiment.


* The same day, Division 5 of Military Zone 7 organized a get-together and presented gifts to dozens of war invalids, martyrs’ relatives working in the division and policy beneficiaries in the locality where the unit is stationed, as well as military employees who are under treatment at the division’s infirmary, Hospital 175 under the Ministry of National Defence, Hospitals 7A and 7B under Military Zone 7. Besides, the division handed over 11 houses of comradeship to its officers, non-commissioned and staff.


* A memorial and burial service for 100 Vietnamese volunteer troops and experts who died while doing their international obligation in Cambodia was held at the Hill 82 Martyrs’ Cemetery in Tan Bien district, Tay Ninh Province, on July 27th. Those sets of remains of martyrs were collected by Team K71 of Tay Ninh Province’s Military Command in 2012-13 dry season.


* Located on an area of 2,600 sq.m, a temple complex commemorating martyrs and heroes who are natives of Thai Duong commune, Thai Thuy district, Thai Binh Province, was unveiled on July 27th by the communal party, people’s and fatherland front committees. The temple, built at a cost of over VND 5.6 billion, is also a graveyard for 55 martyrs of Regiment 48, Division 320 in the resistance war against French invaders.


* On July 27th, Viettel Group’s branch in the Central Highlands province of Gia Lai and Hospital 211 of Army Corps 3 provided free health check-ups, medicines, and gifts, worth more than VND 120 million, for 250 war invalids, sick soldiers and families of policy beneficiaries in the locality.


* Free health-checkups and medicines were also provided for 250 war invalids, sick soldiers, relatives of martyrs and seriously ill non-commissioned officers and soldiers in Hai Hau district, Nam Dinh province by the provincial military command. The command inquired after and presented gifts, worth VND 500,000 each, to 20 families of martyrs, war invalids and heroic Vietnamese mothers.


* Army Corps 16 visited and presented VND 76 million to the Long Dat Convalescent Centre for War Invalids and People Rendering Good Service to the Nation in Ba Ria-Vung Tau province on July 26th. The corps also presented 122 gifts, totally valued at VND 149 million, to policy beneficiaries in Dong Tien commune, Dong Phu district, Binh Phuoc province, and war invalids, sick soldiers and martyrs’ relatives under the corps.


* The Ho Chi Minh City High Command on July 26th handed over VND 348 million to the Long Dat Convalescent Centre for War Invalids and People Rendering Good Service to the Nation in Ba Ria-Vung Tau province, war invalids, sick soldiers and martyrs’ relatives under the city’s armed forces, heroes of the People’s Armed Forces, policy beneficiaries in the locality, officers and soldiers with severe diseases in the city’s armed forces and servicemen under treatment at Hospital 175, Hospital 7A and the Eastern Army and People Hospital under Military Zone 7.
