BTO – With a total admirable score of 57 out of 60, Tran Huynh My Duyen, a student of Tuy Phong high school, who came first in the latest national high-school graduation exam in Binh Thuan province. Particularly, three subjects including math, chemistry, and English reached the maximum score of 10, whereas Biology got 9.5 points, Literature obtained 9.0 points, and Geography was 8.5. After the announcement of result, reporters of Binh Thuan Newspaper had a conversation and shared the great joy with her at Lien Huong town-let. “It came as a big surprise to me when I got the top score. It is not believable!” Duyen frankly spoke.
In addition to a good student, My Duyen was an excellent and dynamic monitor of her class and has been the top student for 12 consecutive years at school. She is also self-aware of being an exemplary good student for other classmates to follow.

Her father is serviceman, who is always go on afar business and her mother is a nurse of Tuy Phong medical center. Duyen is the oldest sister in her family, so she takes responsibilities for looking after her younger brother, who is in grade six.
My Duyen does not only study well, but she is also a friendly and open-hearted girl. “Duyen studies all subjects well and steadily. She is very hard-working and kind to everyone”- her head teacher Vo Huong Giang commented.
When being asked about secret of her outstanding study, My Duyen modestly answered: “I have done everything normally as others do. The top secrets include self-study, doing homework, paying attention to the in-class-lessons and asking teachers for more explanation if misunderstanding”. Regarding six subjects at the latest graduation exam, Duyen spent only 1 week on reviewing and systematizing essential and basic knowledge. Thanks to studying all subjects well and thoroughly grasping all basic knowledge, Duyen easily got high marks in social subjects such as: Literature, Geography in spite of her majors in B-Group exam (math, chemistry, and biology). This year, she will take sit for two top-notch universities in Ho Chi Minh City. They are HCM City University of Technology and HCM City Medicine and Pharmacy University.
With respect to the 9 marks of literature, she deeply expressed that: “the exam question of literature gave me a lot of emotion at the heroic action of the male character, named Nam, who sacrificed his life to rescue five students’ lives. It made me think of the action as well as the thought of the young generation today. Hopefully, our generation can behave well as the character in the exam question. Consequently, the aspiration to be a doctor in the future to cure and save lives for all people is practical. Concurrently, My Duyen is also interested in scientific research, so she additionally registered in chemistry. With the motto “always attempt to make dreams come true”, she is now at pains of preparing for her upcoming university entrance exams to get the best results.
