HA NOI (VNS)— The Health Ministry’s Department of Food Safety has asked the National Institute of Food Control and the HCM City’s Institute of Hygiene and Public Health to verify the quality of goods packed in plastic wraps from China.
The two institutes have been instructed to test and report their results to the department before August 10.
The order was issued after the Chinese news agency Xinhua and other local paper’s reported that authorities had detected diethylhydroxylamine (DEHA) in the products, a substance that can be harmful to humans. — VNS
