HCM CITY (VNS)— A US$1 million Healthcare Innovation Award for healthcare innovations that reduce child deaths in developing countries has been launched.
It is sponsored by NGO Save the Children and pharmaceutical and healthcare company GlaxoSmithKline (GSK).
Entries will be accepted from organisations based in countries classified as “low,” “low-middle,” or “upper-middle” income by the World Bank.
Viet Nam ranks as a low-middle income country.
They can nominate examples of innovative healthcare approaches they have discovered or implemented that have resulted in tangible improvements to survival rates among children under five, are sustainable, and have the potential to be scaled-up and replicated. —VNS
