DA NANG (VNS)— The authorities in the central port city of Da Nang has begun to apply cheaper registration fees for vehicles that carry less than 10 passengers.
From today, people registering their vehicles now only have to pay 10 per cent of the vehicle’s sale price, down from the previous fee of 15 per cent.
The city, which is the second municipality to cut its fees after Ha Noi, hopes to boost car sales and support car dealerships in financial difficulties.
Agents for Toyota Motors Viet Nam, Hyundai, Kia and Ford in central Da Nang City said that the number of orders they have received for new cars has increased substantially since last month when the reduction in the registration fee was announced.-VNS
