(VOV) – Nguyen Van Phuc is proud of his family’s four generations who have sewed the Vietnamese national flag over the past 70 years.
Since the first national flag unfurled in Ba Dinh Square on September 2, 1945, the product of Nguyen Van Phuc’s family business in Hanoi’s Thuong Tin district, have featured at important events all over the country.
The biggest flag, covering an area of 54sq.m, is hung from the top of Lung Cu (Ha Giang) and represents Vietnam’s 54 ethnic minority groups.
His family also sews the Party flag, flags for martyrs, foreign country flags, banners and slogans, and even restores historical flags
Nguyen Van Tam, a disadvantaged person from the same village, is employed by Phuc's family at VND50,000 per day
