In the morning of 20 August, Vice Chairman of the PPC Pham Truong Tho went to check the actual flood prevention plan of the hydropower Dakdrinh in Son Dung commune, Son Tay district.
As tentatively planned, the hydropower plant is expected to keep water in September and generate power (by the plant unit No.1) at the end of 2013.
To actively ensure safety for the work during the rainy season this year, the Hydropower Dakdrinh J.S.C – the contractor has strengthened the establishment of a flood prevention teams on the site, especially controlled items of construction directly caused by the storm such as dams, quarries, execution power system.
Mr. To Cuoc, Vice Chairman of Son Tay DPC said, the district has so far moved 187 households of 03 communes of Son Lien, Son Long and Son Dung out of the reservoir area. The district continues to direct the related units to stabilize accommodation for households before the flood season.
Vice Chairman Tho required the project contractor to review the flood prevention plan and to speed construction items, ensuring safety for people and vehicles, equipment to operating procedures and reservoir safety.
