(VOV) -Thai writer Prabhassorn Sevikul has recently introduced his Time in a Bottle novel to Hanoi readers.

The book, know as a hit with young Thai people in the 70s, explores the generation gap in a middle-class Thai family.

It has been reprinted 39 times and is being published in Vietnam, Malaysia and Indonesia.

Sevikul said the book has the same title with his favourite song composed by American singer and songwriter Jim Crose.

He said he was happy writing the book as it brought back fond memories of his childhood.

Born in 1948 Sevikul has been credited as being a diplomat and former chairman of the Thai Writers Association.

He has worked with the Vietnam Writers Association to launch a cooperative programme on literature exchange between the two countries and among ASEAN member countries.

He is also well-known for his Love in the Rain in Hanoi, featuring stories of culture and tourism experienced by young Thai visitors to Vietnam.

Time in a Bottle is the second Thai literary work introduced in Vietnam this August after Lotus Bloom in the Stream of Literature.
