In the afternoon on August 2, the Wildlife At Risk (WAR) received reports of the authorities of Phu Quoc island (Kien Giang) on the case in which three langurs were killed.
These are silver langur, the endangered species classified as IB and named in the Vietnam Red Book.
According to WAR, in the afternoon of July 30, rangers at the Phu Quoc National Park caught in the act four hunters slaughtering three langurs in Cay Thong Forest.
Two hunters were arrested and two others escaped. The authorities were hunting these people.
The bodies of three langurs have been handed over to the Vietnam Museum of Nature.
