(VEN) – Airlines and tourism companies got together to offer a range of discounted tours to attract tourists on the occasion of the National Day (September 2).
This year tourists prefer domestic tours, including those to the central region, beaches and islands. Aware of this, many tour operators have offered domestic tours at good prices.
Vietravel has offered the biggest promotions so far. The price of its tours will not increase during these holidays. The company’s top tours, which have attracted the largest number of customers, include Hue-Da Nang-Ba Na-Hoi An (five days, VND8.69 million per person), Nha Trang-Da Lat (five days, VND9.99 million per person), Nha Trang-Thach Lam Mineral Spring (four days, VND8.99 million per person), and Phu Quoc Island (four days, VND10.99 million).
Pham Ha Anh from Vietravel Hanoi’s Marketing and Communications Department said that her company got together with the airlines to launch stimulus tours during the upcoming holidays by reducing the price of the six-day Hanoi-Yen Tu-Ha Long-Do Temple-Sa Pa-Trang An tour and the six-day Hanoi-Lang Son-Cao Bang-Ban Gioc Waterfall-Ba Be-Bac Kan tour by VND3-3.5 million, following its Journey to the North program.
Under its Discover Heritage in the Central Region stimulus tour package Vietravel got together with the airlines to discount the price of tours by VND2.4-3 million to VND6.39-7.59 million, including the five-day Nghe An-Ha Tinh-Thien Duong Cave-Ba Na-Hoi An tour and the five-day Da Nang-Lang Co-Thien Duong Cave-Ba Na-Hoi An tour.
Vietravel’s Sea and Island program offers tours to the Phu Quoc Island at a package price from VND5.29 million and the Con Dao Island from VND6.69 million, including a stay at a three-star resort.
As for outbound tours, Malaysia, Singapore and Thailand will remain the top destinations during this year’s National Day holidays.
Together with Vietravel, Vietrantour did not increase the price of its tours during the National Day holidays, while discounting 80 percent of the airfare for all of its major domestic and outbound tours to encourage its customers in the context of the global recession.
Fiditour and Saigontourist also offered many domestic and outbound tours at good prices.
Tran The Dung, the Deputy Director of the Young Generation Company Ltd. and the Deputy Head of the Southern Domestic Tourism Stimulus Team, said that the 13 companies from the team had committed to discount their tour prices without reducing the quality of services. The sharp discount was the result of support from airlines.
Vietravel also pledged to maintain the price and the quality of its tours during the upcoming holidays. The company said that it was ready to serve about 14,000 customers, and its expected that the number of its tourists and revenues during these holidays will grow by 30 percent from a year ago./.
