Truong Quang Bich (left), director of Cuc Phuong National Park in northern Ninh Binh Province, with one of 71 Annam leaf turtles (Mauremys annamensis) that were sent from zoos in Holland and Germany back to their native land of Viet Nam. The turtles, which are only found in the wild in the central provinces of Viet Nam, were successfully bred by staff at the European zoos.
