(VOV) -The Vietnamese football team easily thrashed Myanmar 4-0 in its first match of the U16 Southeast Asia (SEA) Football Championships on August 20.
Right in the first minutes the scoring was opened by midfielder Pham Trong Hoa’s stunning volley into the net of the Myanmar goalkeeper.
Then with striker Bach Hong Han’s hat-trick coming in the 28th, 48th and 90th minutes, the match finally ended 4-0 in favour of Vietnam despite Myanmar’s effort to play with ten men after Thar Aung Phyo was sent off in the last minutes of the second half.
Group A is temporarily topped by both Vietnam and Australia who also defeated Cambodia 4-0.
Vietnam is scheduled to play Cambodia in its second match on August 24.
