On September 6th, in Tuy Hoa city, the standing board of Phu Yen province’s People’s council held the exchanging conference of the standing board of the people’s councils of provinces, cities in the Central and Highlands, with the attendance of 12 provinces and cities from Da Nang to Ninh Thuan, together eith the standing board of the people’s councils of Quang Tri and Binh Phuoc provinces.

Addressing to commence the conference, the deputy secretary of the provincial Party committee cum Chairman of the provincial people’s council, Mr. Huynh Tan Viet, stressed, “the organizing the periodical exchanging conference among the standing boards of the provinces and cities in the region is a precious chance for the delegates to learn, share and exchange operating experiences, in order to nonstop renew, improve the quality, efficiency in the operation at the people-elected offices in each locality. From which, conditions are created to double check, assess and raise proposals to the National Assembly and the Government to consider, gradually complete the legal mechanism, creating favorable conditions for the people’s councils to be the representatives of the will, aspiration and right of being the masters of the localities’ peoples”.
The representatives listened to the standing boards of the provinces of Khanh Hoa, Quang Nam, Gia Lai, Dak Nong, Ninh Thuan, Binh Dinh, Dak Lak and Da Nang city presenting on the theme “Practical situations and experiences in supervising the theme of the people’s councils” Besides, the delegates joined in the discussions, contributing ideas to figure out the experiences, practical solutions, to contribute to enhancing the competence, quality and operation efficiency in supervising by the people’s councils at all levels in particular and the operations of the people’s councils in general in the coming time. In the afternoon of the same day, the conference was concluded and Da Nang city was selected to host the coming 22nd conference of the people’s councils for the central and highlands region.
It’s known that the periodical exchanging conference of the people’s councils for the provinces and cities in the central and highlands region takes place every two years.
