(VOVworld) – Masked gunmen attacked the up-market Westgate trade center in Nairobi on Saturday and shot dead at least 20 people and wounded many. The shooting caused panic at the 4-storey trade center. Police was deployed to the spot to evacuate people remaining there. The same day, rebel group Shebab in Somalia linked to the Al Qaeda terrorist network claimed responsibility for the attack, which they said was aimed at retaliating Kenya’s military intervention in Somalia.
