(VOVworld) – The Vietnamese Embassy in Egypt on August 31 held a meeting with Vietnamese people living, working, and studying there. Ambassador Dao Thanh Chung said the National Day celebration also aimed to mark the 50th anniversary of diplomatic ties between Vietnam and Egypt.
In Laos’ Luang Prabang province, the local Party cell and authority and the General Consulate of Vietnam jointly held a performance to mark Vietnam’s National Day. The performance features songs and dances in praise of the two countries’ leaders, Parties, people and landscapes as well as the long-lasting Vietnam – Lao relationship. The VN’s Consulate General hosted a party with the participation of leaders of 8 northern Lao provinces and overseas Vietnamese.
The Association of Overseas Vietnamese in Bangkok, Thailand, marked the National Day on August 31. The Association’s President Nguyen Ngoc Anh said the meeting is of great significance as it encouraged Vietnamese people to continue to promote and preserve national glorious traditions for the younger generation. Ambassador Ngo Duc Thang said the Vietnamese community in Bangkok has an important position in consolidating Vietnamese people in Thailand and enhancing the cooperative relations between the two nations.
A photo exhibition and a Vietnamese film week are being organized in Kharkov, Ukraine. The exhibition features 200 photos of Vietnam’s land and people, its time-honored traditions and achievements in the international integration. More than 100 documentaries are also screened. Minister of Information and Communications, Nguyen Bac Son, said the event shows the Party and Government’s sentiment toward Vietnamese people in Ukraine. It conveys Vietnam’s aspiration to build a friendly relationship and reliable partnership with all countries.
