During the period 2004-2012, Ho Chi Minh City had 27 completed or ongoing projects invested under Build-Operate-Transfer, Build-Transfer-Operate, Build-Transfer, and Build-Own-Operate form with investments of more than VND68.23 trillion, according to Lam Nguyen Khoi, Deputy Director of HCMC Department of Planning and Investment.
Of which, BOT and BT projects accounted for 24 out of the 27 projects; two projects under BOO form, and one under BTO form.
The City has currently 42 new projects under various forms of financing with estimated investment capital of VND147.35 trillion. The department has also sent a document to the Ministry of Planning and Investment for consideration of six projects under Public-Private Partner form with investment of VND13.83 trillion.
