New Storm ‘Krosa’ moving towards East Sea

A strong storm named ‘Krosa’ has formed near the eastern coast of the Philippines and is currently moving towards the East Sea, according to the National Hydro Meteorological Forecasting Center.

On the evening of October 30, the storm was located 670 kilometers east of Luzon Islands at longitude 16.8 degrees north and latitude 128.4 degrees east.


The storm sustained wind speeds of level 9-13 near the center and according to weather forecast the storm will move west northwestwards at 20-25km per hour and continue to become stronger in next 24 hours.


By November 1, the storm will enter the East Sea. Later, the storm will move west northwestwards at 20-25km per hour and locate 670 kilometers off Paracel Islands with strong wind speeds of level 10-14 near the center.


Due to the effect of the storm, waters on the East Sea will remain choppy with strong winds of level 6-9.
