(VOVworld)- Vietnamese people felt sorrow at the death of General Vo Nguyen Giap. Professor of history Phan Huy Le said the General’s life, career and his talent make him a People’s General: “For Vietnam , General Vo Nguyen Giap is a gifted military commander, a national hero, a culturist and a historian. His character and career are deeply rooted in people’s minds.”
Many people have paid tribute to the General at his home in 30 Hoang DIeu Street , Hanoi . Hoang Van Lieu is from Thai Nguyen province:“I have heard a lot of stories abut the General through my parents. I come here right away after learning the news to burn incense for him.”
Nguyen Duy Phuoc is a student of the University of Architecture :“The General is proclaimed to be of the top ten Generals of the world. I adore his character and his life. I came here to visit his house.”
General Vo Nguyen Giap is a legendry General of the Vietnamese people and one of excellent military leader in the 20th century.
