(CPV) - The Canon Vietnam Co., Ltd has transferred the “Lighting up the countryside” project to Dong Phu village, Phu Lam commune, Tien Du district, Bac Ninh province.
The project aims to ensure traffic safety, social orders, and create a beautiful and modern rural road system in 4 villages of 4 communes Ngoc Xa, Viet Hung, Phu Lam and Hoan Son of Que Vo district and Tien Du district.
The company has invested over VND200 million for the installation of lights in nearly 11 km road in the above-mentioned villages. All lights have finished after two months of construction.
Light poles are spaced at 15 meters, 4 meters high, fitted with durable composite material trough pipes and using power-saving compact lights.
Mr Michio Motohashi – Deputy General Director of Canon Vietnam, said: “We have closely cooperated with the Bac Ninh provincial Communist Youth Union in this project, a new kind of social activities programs. Together with well-made inter-village concrete road system, these new lights will actively support the theme of “Developing industrial parks with rural development” set by the Government, thus laying a good foundation for sustainable development of the nation and protecting the environment”.
Following company’s development with social security, in the future, Canon Vietnam hopes to contribute more to Bac Ninh province in particular, and Vietnam in general, toward a better future for the next generations./.
