On November 13, 2013, at the sixth session of the 13th National Assembly, the National Assembly approved the nomination of two Deputy Prime Ministers Pham Binh Minh with 421/498 votes and Vu Duc Dam with 427/498 votes.


During the working session on November 12, 2013, Nguyen Hanh Phuc, member of the Standing Committee of the National Assembly and Chairman of the National Assembly’s Office, head ofthe session’ssecretary delegation presentedthe draft resolution on addingone more Deputy Prime Minister in the 13th tenture, raising the total number of Deputy Prime Ministers to 5 and the draft resolution was approved with 87.75% votes.


According to the statement of Prime Minister Nguyen Tan Dung, Vu Duc Dam, born in 1963, is a PhD in economics, member of the Party Central Committee and Chairman of the Government Office. Pham Binh Minh, born in 1959, is member of the Party Central Committee andMinister of Foreign Affairs.
