PANO – Since November 18th, 200 cadres and soldiers from Regiment 142, Division 315, Military Zone 5, have been present in Nghia Hanh and Tu Nghia districts of Quang Ngai province which were heavily devastated by the recent flood.
>> More support for central region victims
>> Army units continue helping central region flood victims
>> Troops help local people cope with flooding
Over these days, they assisted local people in the two districts’ communes to repair their houses and tidy up roads, infirmaries, schools and other public facilities despite the bad weather conditions.
According to Senior Lieutenant Colonel Nguyen Phi Hung, Commander of Regiment 142, all soldiers are new recruits in the second enlistment drive of this year in Quang Ngai and Quang Nam province. Though their families were affected by the flood, they could still concentrate in fulfilling their tasks to help local residents resume their daily lives.
Their devotion and high sense of responsibility have helped consolidate the image of Uncle Ho’s soldiers.
