HCM CITY (VNS) — The bodies of five students who were reportedly swept away by strong waves while swimming at a local beach in HCM City’s Can Gio District were found yesterday morning.
The students were found after a team of more than 100 staff members of the district’s Steering Committee for Flood and Storm Prevention and Control and the Committee for Search and Rescue was mobilised.
The accident left seven drowned Sunday afternoon. Two bodies were found on the same day.
The seven victims were among 96 students of Nguyen Binh Khiem Secondary School in southern Binh Duong Province’s Dau Tieng District who were on a school trip to Can Gio District.— VNS
