(VOV) – Cambodian Youth Union President Hun Many has led a delegation conducting a December 27 working session with HCM City People’s Committee Vice Chairman Le Manh Ha.
Ha spoke highly of the visit and affirmed the importance of youth exchanges in promoting mutual understanding and cooperation between Vietnam and Cambodia.
HCM City has actively worked with Phnom Penh to create the best possible conditions for experience sharing and collaborative educational and youth-oriented activities.
Hun Many thanked his hosts and Vietnam more generally, for their assistance during the past struggle against Pol Pot’s genocide and in the ongoing process of national development.
Youth from Cambodia and Ho Chi Minh City examined ways to encourage cooperation and youth participation.
The Cambodian delegations stay in HCM City included tours of Nha Rong Wharf and the War Remnants Museum.
Earlier on December 25, Vietnam Youth Union Chairman Phan Van Mai and Hun Many signed a 2013-2017 cooperative agreement setting out visit exchanges, staff representation, and the organisation of combined meetings.
