HCMC Vice Chairwoman Nguyen Thi Hong told the opening ceremony that the exhibition was meant to connect enterprises in the hi-tech agriculture and food processing sectors for synergy. The event will also be the meeting place for enterprises and researchers in these two sectors so as to create better-quality products and services for the market, she said.
Pho Nam Phuong, deputy director of the HCMC Investment and Trade Promotion Center as the organizer said that the second annual exhibition would also incorporate seminars on support for agricultural development and food safety among others.
