VietNamNet Bridge – After school, a 9-year-old girl played alone on the 2nd floor. By the lunch time, family members found the girl dead hanging.
In the afternoon of December 26, the police of An Lao district, the northern port city of Hai Phong confirmed that the death of little girl Ho Thi Bich Thuy was a bizarre accident.
According to the police, on December 26, after school, the little girl played alone on the second floor of her grandparents’ home.
The girl tied one end of a shoelace to the window and tied another end into a circle. Then, she stood on a piece of sponge, and then put her neck into the circle.
Suddenly she tripped. The piece of sponge sprang up. By about 11am, the family members came up to the second floor to tell her to go down stair for the lunch, but she was dead.
The police of An Lao district immediately performed a scene examination and initially concluded that the 9-year-old died in the hanging position because of playing with the shoe-lace.
The family said that the victim was born in a family with three sisters. Due to special family circumstance, she had to live with her grandparents and often used ropes as toys.
