VGP – PM Nguyen Tan Dung on December 12 (local time) met with his former Japanese counterpart Hatoyama Yukio during his official tour to Japan.

PM Dung emphasized that Viet Nam highly valued the important contributions of Mr. Hatoyama who is the President of the Japan-Viet Nam Friendship Association for the bilateral ties.
The strategic ties between Viet Nam and Japan, said PM Dung have been flourishing in practical manner particularly following the issuance of the Joint Statement on the Strategic Partnership for Peace and Prosperity in Asia.
PM Dung also hoped that Mr. Hatoyama Yukio would continue to make practical contributions to the bilateral ties especially in the areas of vocational education and manpower training.
For his part Mr. Hatoyama Yukio promised to spare no effort to serve for the better ties between Viet Nam and Japan./.
