Ho Chi Minh City Party Secretary Le Thanh Hai had a meeting with Ms. Leow Siu Lin, Singapore Consul General in HCM City on the occasion of her new term in Ho Chi Minh on January 2.
At the meeting, Municipal Party Secretary Le Thanh Hai welcomed Ms. Leow Siu Lin, Singapore Consul General in Ho Chi Minh City and hoped that Ms. Leow Siu Lin will continue to contribute to further strengthening relationship between the two countries in general and between Singapore and Ho Chi Minh City in particular.
Ms. Leow Siu Lin affirmed that she will continue to support for investments of Singapore enterprises into the city. She added that in 2013, Singapore is the second largest trade partner of HCMC with two-way trade turnover between two countries exceeded US$ 6. 09 billions, accounting for 60 percents of total trade turnover.
Currently, Ho Chi Minh City attracts 622 Singapore investment projects with total registered capital of nearly US$ 6 billions.
