(VOV) – The Vietnam Association of Motorcycle Manufacturers (VAMM) has predicted that this year’s auto sales may reach a record high of 120,000 units, or 9% higher than 2013′s figure.

VAMA reported that the domestic auto industry sold 7,314 units in February, lower than the previous month but up 72% compared to a year earlier.

February 2014 was the 11th consecutive month experiencing a year-on-year increase in auto sales, said the Association, which also raised concern over a decline in both auto imports and local auto outputs.

In the first two months of this year, the domestic auto industry enjoyed an annual increase of 39% in revenue. Cars and trucks were among the best sellers on the local market in the reviewed period, said VAMA.
