Investment cooperation between Hai Phong and Palestinian localities boosted

Chairman of Haiphong People’s Committee Dương Anh Dien has just received and worked with the Palestinian Ambassador to Vietnam, Saadi Salama on the occasion of his visit to the city .

Chairman Duong Anh Dien welcomed the Ambassador to Haiphong and gave him a brief introduction of the Port city, its socio- economic achievements; major ongoing projects including Cat Bi Airport, Hai Phong International Gateway Port, and Tan Vu – Lach Huyen cross-sea bridge – the longest of its kind in Southeast Asia. These aforesaid projects are of great significant meaning to Haiphong’s development on the process to build up itself into a green, advanced and modern port city and become a big industry and service centre with a high level of competence. The city chairman expected that in his mission, the Ambassador will introduce the city to the Palestine’s enterprises and facilitate them to invest in the city’s prioritized areas such as agricultural mechanization and infrastructure development.


Expressing his admiration for the achievements during the development process of Hai Phong, especially after nearly 30 years implementing the ‘Renewal Cause‘, Ambassador Saadi Salama suggested that Hai Phong should organize workshops to introduce the city’s development potentials to large enterprises of Palestine. The Ambassador also hoped to become a bridge founding cooperation relations between Haiphong and a sea city sharing common features with Haiphong in Palestine, named Gaza.
