On March 4, the Ho Chi Minh city employment introduction centre held a work fair, attracting over 70 enterprises and offering 1,428 jobs.
Enterprises during the work fair mostly recruiting in the goods selling, common labourers, textile and garment, electronics, mechanics and food sectors.
During the work fair, the organising committee held a number of activities, including introduction of employment, support for vocational training, and giving free legal consultancy for enterprises and labourers.
According to Tran Xuan Hai, director of the Ho Chi Minh city employment introduction centre, in 2014, the centre expects to organise 50 work fairs.
In 2013, through work fairs, the centre gave consultancy to 264,052 people, introduced jobs for 77,653 others, with 38,911 of them being recruited by enterprises and employers./.
