“The US Government supports activities to ensure women’s voices are represented, their needs addressed, and their leadership potential fostered, as well as continue to seek ways to reduce regulatory barriers and expand legal awareness for women, improve women’s access to social, medical, educational and economic opportunities, and increase women’s participation in policy dialogues”, said US Ambassador to Vietnam, Mr David B. Shear.

The US will continue to support the network as part of its ongoing support to people of ASEAN and is encouraging US businesses to work closely with the network as well.

In Vietnam, expanding opportunities for women and other populations underrepresented in economic and social life is a priority of US assistance through USAID./.
