(CPV) – The Governments of the SocialistRepublic of Viet Nam and the Kingdom of Belgium signed a specific agreement on April 11th 2014 for the project “Capacity Development for the Planning Reform (CDPR)”.
The representatives of both Governments, Mr. Nguyễn Chí Dũng, Vice-Minister of Planning and Investment and Mr. Angelet Bruno, Ambassador of the Kingdom of Belgium to Vietnam signed a specific agreement for the project “Capacity Development for the Planning Reform (CDPR)“, with a total budget of 4.3 million euros.
The objective of the project aims to improve the preparation and implementation of the Socio-economic Development Plan through improved planning and budgeting for pro-poor and pro-growth policies and interventions.
The project shall focus on the strengthening of the capacity of central level, provincial and some selected local authorities in the preparation, monitoring and evaluation of plan and budgeting through an improved legal framework, training of trainers, training of selected central ministries and key planning staff at provincial level, continued learning and sharing information on international planning experiences and best practices, as well as more in depth capacity building activities for selected sub provincial authorities.
The project will have a duration of 04 years. The Ministry of Planning and Investment will be responsible for the implementation and management of the project./.
