Duy Xuyen District belongs to the plain area of Quang Nam Province. Bordering Hoi An in the northeast, the District is 40km north of Tam Ky City. Duy Xuyen District is a remarkable tourist attraction with the UNESCO world cultural heritage My Son Sanctuary. The remains of a series of impressive tower-temples located in a dramatic site that was the religious and political capital of the Champa Kingdom vividly reflect cultural influences of Indian Hinduism. Besides, Duy Xuyen District was very famous for its silk weaving villages of Ma Chau, Dong Yen-Thi Lai, and Ban Thach Mattress Village. It is also home to Tra Nhieu Village, which is a picturesque community-based ecotourism spot about 3 km to the southeast downstream of Hoi An Ancient Town.
