PM Dung highly lauded the comprehensive achievements of Khanh Hoa in socio-economic development, hoping that the province would surmount obstacles to become a modern industrial locality.

The Government leader also noted that Khanh Hoa should pay more attention to stepping up poverty reduction, building new rural areas, and bettering the living standards of people.

The local authorities said PM Dung should also attach importance to extricating difficulties for enterprises and speeding up the administrative reform.

PM Dung and ministerial and sectoral leaders also took the occasion to comment on the locality’s proposals on seaports, airports, tourism sites, transport projects and resettlement areas.

In Q2, Khanh Hoa will take a string of measures to boost industrial production and business and accelerate site clearance. PM Dung suggested provincial leaders focus on improving its competitive capacity, further boosting exports, tourism and administrative reform, effectively preventing bird flu epidemic, attracting more investment and narrowing the rich-poor development gap between rural and urban areas with a view to developing Khanh Hoa into a modern industrial province in the future.
