Ticket sold out in coming long holidays

Well aware of the travel rush as the country has longer holidays, people reserved tickets with bigger travel companies well in advance of official sale of tickets, resulting in many coach companies now announcing a sell out of tickets.


Ticket booths at the Mien Tay (Western) Bus Station are overloading with people who want to travel on the coming national holidays. Meantime, bigger travel companies such as Mai Linh, Phuong Trang, Duc Loc, Thuong Tin, Kumho Samco announced that tickets to Da Lat, Phan Thiet, Nha Trang have been sold out.


Thuong Thanh Hai, Deputy Director of Mien Dong Bus Station, affirmed that the number of passengers for short routes will increase, compared to the same period last year. Forecasts said that travel demand will increase significantly from April 28 -29 with around over 33,000 passengers.


Tran Van Phuong, Deputy Chief of Mien Tay Bus Station said that around 41,000 passengers will go to Mekong delta provinces of Tien Giang, Ben Tre, Tra Vinh, Can Tho , Dong Thap, An Giang, Kien Giang and Ca Mau.


Thai Van Truyen, deputy head of Railway Station, said the e Station will put additional trains into operation.


The low cost carrier Vietjet Air will also increase 8 additional flights for routes HCMC- Da Nang, Hanoi- Da Nang, HCMC-Nha Trang and Hanoi-Nha Trang. Tickets are sold on internet and ticket booths nationwide.


The Department of Culture, Sports and Tourism in the central province of Thua Thien-Hue said that local tourism sector offer promotion for many cultural programs during the holidays such as ecological trips, religion tours and sightseeing tours, from April 30 to May 2, a festival called “Song nuoc Tam Giang” ( Tam Giang Wave) will take place in Con Toc wharf in Quang Loi Commune and Bac Vong Dong village in Quang Phu Commune in Quang Dien District.
