Vietnamese, Russian party newspapers boost cooperation

(VOV) -A delegation from the Nhan Dan (People) Newspaper paid a working visit to Russia on April 28-29, aiming to promote the traditional relationship between Communist Party newspapers.


The visit, led by Editor-in-chief Nguyen Huu Thuan, came at the invitation of Russian Communist Party newspaper Pravda and state-run newspaper Rossiskaya Gazeta.


Speaking at a welcoming ceremony, Ivan Melnikov, Vice Chairman of the State Duma (Lower House) and Vice Chairman of the Communist Party of the Russian Federation spoke about fruitful results of joint activities of the two communist party newspapers over recent years.



Melnikov also talked proudly of the strategic partnership between Vietnam and Russia and affirmed that the partnership is not only developing well in journalism, but is expanding well in all spheres.


He stressed that all four major parties in the State Duma support the further development of cooperation with Vietnam and voiced his strong commitment to actively promote bilateral relations between the two countriesFor his part, Editor-in-chief Thuan spoke highly of the assistance of the “Pravda” newspaper in improving the skills of the People’s newspaper’s reporters and staff and gracefully thanked them for their assistance.


Under the framework of the visit, the Vietnamese delegation also metwith Deputy Director of the Information andPress Department of the Russian Ministry of Foreign Affair Georgy Vlaksin and Pravda newspaper Editor-in-chief of Boris Komosky to discuss prospects for future cooperation in the field of information.
